Our PR, Digital and Team Highlights for April

From April Fools to Easter, there was a lot going on in the month of April, check out how we made waves for our clients, plus our favourite campaigns and team news.

April Fools!

This month we helped our client Little Tikes fool their fans with a spoof ‘Little Tikes Cozy Cabs’ taxi service.

We sold the story into the press under embargo before launching the spoof app artwork across social channels, encouraging fans to tell us where they’d visit. With over 4.4k engagements on social and features in The Drum and Londonist for the best April Fools pranks, we call that a success!

A Clean Sweep of Coverage for BISSELL

Striking while the iron was hot after winning the account back in March, we hosted a broadcast day for BISSELL. After conducting research into the nation’s cleaning habits, we enlisted Queen of Clean, Lynsey Crombie, as BISSELL’s research spokesperson. Lynsey discussed the research findings, which included things like ‘71% of Brits say that a clean home lifts their mood’ and ‘45% saying cleaning helps them relax’. This resulted in 14 interviews, as well as 796 pieces of coverage with a combined reach of over 6.9m. Hits included BBC Three Counties Radio, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, BBC Northampton Radio, BBC Radio Oxford, The Star, The Lancashire Post, and many more.

Roll out the Red Carpet

We hosted an epic star-studded gala for L.O.L. Surprise! to showcase several new ranges including Queens, World Travel and Minis, whilst celebrating children’s confidence and the spirit of sisterhood. Katie Piper, Rachel Adedeji, and Laura Whitmore attended and the guest list also included stars such as Rachel Stevens, Antony Costa, and Inspiring Vanessa.

The event led to some incredible coverage, including hits in the Daily Mailand Yahoo as well as over 160 pieces of social coverage. It also generated a fantastic range of content for L.O.L. Surprise! social media pages.

Live the Moda Life

Working with our client Moda for the launch of their The McEwan site, we hosted The Great Edinburgh Menu Supper Club. Surrounded by epic views of Edinburgh and the castle from the stunning Halcyon and Resident Dining lounges, local media and influencers were invited to indulge in a tasting menu and paired wines from chef, Stuart Ralston.

With a total social media following of 70.6k among the attendees, the event resulted in some great pieces of social coverage, including multiple Instagram Stories and a static image post showing off the fantastic views that The McEwan has to offer.

Welcome To The Team!

On top of the fantastic client work this month, we’re also excited to welcome Ingha and Jess to the Carousel team, as well as celebrating Sophia’s promotion to Account Executive!

With planning for AW22 underway (yes, including Christmas!), launch events, and Bearded Theory at the end of the month, we can’t wait to see what May brings.
