Festival season is full steam ahead and last weekend Carousel worked alongside BBC and TBI Media to launch the BBC’s biggest EVER children’s festival: CBBC Summer Social.

Located in Croxteth Park in Liverpool, the event saw some of the biggest stars from CBBC and CBeebies take to the city, including Sam and Mark, CBeebies favourites Mr Tumble and Mr Bloom, as well as star-studded performances from Union J, Mackenzie Ziegler and Johnny Orlando.

The festival had fun for all the family, including a CBeebies Village packed with performers such as Ferne and Rory from Vet’s Tales and activities including Bedtime stories. For older children there were meet and greets, character walkabouts, creative workshops, sporting activities, and a farm to get away from the music madness!

With plenty of activities for the entire family, the event was a huge success. Carousel hosted over 55 press and bloggers, and some mini festival-goers even stated it was better than Christmas!
