Little Tikes Outsells the Ford Fiesta

This week, we’ve been hitting the headlines with our client Little Tikes as its iconic Cozy Coupe is yet again the nation’s no.1 selling car.

Despite new car sales being down by 44% in March, that didn’t stop parents from revving up the excitement for their little ones during lockdown and bringing up sales of the Cozy Coupe over 85,000 units, overshadowing the Ford Fiesta by 81%.

1 in 3 children in the UK already own a Cozy Coupe and it’s expected that its popularity will continue into 2020 as little learner drivers hurry to get their hands on this iconic car.

Giving off zero emissions, requiring no tax, costing nothing at the petrol pump and with an RRP of £59.99 it’s easy to see why the Cozy Coupe is so popular. Launched in 1979 the Cozy Coupe has certainly stood the test of time. With new designs hitting the market since its launch including Fairy Cozy Coupe, Police Response Cozy Coupe and Dino Cozy Coupe there’s one to suit every little personality.

As kids spend more time injecting play into their home schooling it’s no surprise that Little Tikes has seen sales of the Cozy Coupe increase. Ideal for imaginative play, encouraging a sense of adventure and problem solving.

Andrew Turner, Head of UK Marketing for Little Tikes said: “We’re thrilled to see the Cozy Coupe is still the car of choice for families throughout the UK. As kids continue to spend an increasing amount of time at home, we’re seeing many families inject lots of creativity and personality into play and with 15 different varieties there’s a Coupe for everyone.”

After being appointed by Little Tikes back in January 2018, we’ve not been shy from getting the classic children’s brand in the news agenda, including our #BringBackTheOutdoors campaign, taking the Cozy Coupe to Silverstone as well as really making an impact to launch the ’19 plate registration plates and hosting the exciyting World’s Biggest Play Date on Southbank just last year.
