Grace Jones Signs on the Blue Dotted Line
Working with our long-standing client bluedot is always fun, especially when it comes to artist bookings - 2023’s announcements are coming in thick and fast with the likes of Grace Jones, Roisin Murphy and Pavements heading the bill. We announced this year’s line up last week, and have already achieved coverage hits with the likes of BBC News, NME, Riot Mag, The Independent and in print with the Manchester Evening News.
If that wasn’t enough, following bluedot’s 2023 line up announcement, the festival hosted a launch party at Manchester’s historic music venue Band On The Wall. Carousel ensured that Manchester’s media were in attendance to celebrate with the team while enjoying drinks, canapes, DJ sets and a special introduction to this year’s event by bluedot Festival Director Ben Robinson.
Launching a Show With Will Young
The nation’s original pop idol Will Young is back for his first live theatre role for a decade with the powerful one-man show Song From Far Away at HOME. We’re delighted to be working with the show - so far, we’ve secured fantastic coverage as well as high quality interview opportunities for Will; with the likes of The One Show, The Guardian, Big Issue, MEN, I Love Manchester, BBC Radio Manchester and BBC Radio Lancashire to name a few. We’re also managing press for the show’s launch event, happening at HOME Manchester on Saturday 25th February.

Zapf Creation at Toy Fair 2023
Toy Fair is the UK’s largest toy and game trade show, where exhibitors showcase their products to retailers, buyers, media and influencers - we were excited to attend with our client Zapf Creation to show off what’s new for the brand in 2023. It’s a big year of new launches across both BABY born and Baby Annabell, in addition to Baby Annabell’s 25th Anniversary, so lots to look out for!
Pinterest Loves Paddington!
Following the success of Paddington across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, we were tasked with bringing the lovable bear to new audiences by populating Paddington’s Pinterest page with relevant content, as well as creating new themed Idea Pins to tap into seasonal trends.
Working closely with Pinterest, crafters and our in-house content creation team, we commissioned a set of videos to showcase how Paddington can add a touch of magic to the festive season. From Christmas wreath making and DIY snow globes to delicious recipes such as mince pies and gingerbread bears, the team collaborated with several content creators to capture engaging tutorials that fans could follow at home.
And the results are in! Pinteresters fell in love with Paddington’s content - with over 600k impressions, 3.5k engagements, 1.2k link clicks and 242k total views, Paddington and the Browns couldn’t be happier. Pinterest featured our campaign on its homepage for all users to view, driving both reach and engagement across all content. We also utilised our audiences on our other channels, achieving an engagement rate of 8.3% with 137k reach and 11.5k engagements across our Pinterest announcement posts. We’re excited to be working with We Invented the Weekend!
We Invented the Weekend is a bold and imaginative free festival for the North, from Salford. The two-day event will throw open MediaCityUK and Salford Quays’ spaces to celebrate the joy of free time, taking in sports, music, comedy, theatre, dance, workshops, talks, food, charity, wellness, crafts and more. We’ll be delivering a hard-working press office to drive awareness and attendance to the weekender.
