The beginning of festival season, welcoming new clients and several promotions - it’s been a busy month at Carousel, check out what we’ve been up to!

As experts in social media management, we’re always looking for new ways to bring our client’s content to life - the release of Instagram guides allows brands to curate a mini blog post within their Instagram feed, with added commentary - leaning into the Instagram algorithm’s tendency to prioritise newer features as well as creating the opportunity to give older posts a new lease of life.

In May, we created a guide for our clientMetquarter, showcasing their tenants and providing followers with a one-stop shop for planning their next day out in Liverpool.

Next Generation Builds

In May we hosted an exclusive drinks reception with our long-standing client Moda at their Leeds location, to celebrate Caddick Construction and Moda’s presence at the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum. The ‘Next Generation Futures’ pavilion gave VIPs and stakeholders an exclusive first-look at Moda’s latest property and gave guests a taste of what Moda can offer with their state-of-the-art amenities.

As well as helping Moda develop valuable relationships with local businesses such as The Ivy, Leeds Conservatoire and local Leeds-based DJs, the event was attended by 120 people and had fantastic feedback.

Checking In With Kimpton Clocktower Hotel

If you’ve been anywhere near Oxford Road, you’ll be familiar with the iconic Kimpton Clocktower Hotel. The magnificent Grade II listed building which is home to Refuge Bar and Restaurant has appointed the Carousel team to lead their ongoing PR strategy and we’ve already hit the ground running with our work on their Jubilee Street Party. Our work successfully drove 36 pieces of listings coverage with a combined reach of over 176m and 100% of listings including a link to purchase tickets. Top hits included the Manchester Evening News and Manchester’s Finest.

Moving forward, the team will be driving more ‘out of the box’ activations, collaborations, and partnerships. Watch this space…

First up… Bearded Theory!

As the UK’s go-to festival PR agency, summer is our time to shine. Kicking off the festival season this year is Bearded Theory Spring Awakening Festival. After working throughout the last year on social media content and securing press coverage to drive ticket sales, the team were delighted to be able to attend to see their hard work pay off.

With some fantastic acts including Placebo, Patti Smith and Flaming Lips, the team managed the press on-site and secured post-festival coverage and reviews.

Highlights included hits in The Telegraph, Metro, Daily Star, The Times, The Sunday Times and NME, as well as regional pieces in Derbyshire Times and BBC Radio Derby.

You get a promotion, you get a promotion!

No this isn’t Oprah giving out cars, we just love rewarding the hard work and achievements of the team. We celebrated two promotions this month!

After being with us for just over a year and working on clients such as Little Tikes and Lo-Dough, Hugh Royle has been promoted to Account Manager.

Margarita McGrath has also been promoted to Senior Social Media Manager. She’s been with the agency for three years, leading on clients such as Paddington Bear, Rainbow High and Bratz.

This month we also welcomed Alex & Arielle to Team Carousel. Alex joins us as a PR assistant after previously working in-house for the University of Salford Comms team. She is also currently studying for her MA in PR and Digital Communications. . Arielle also joins us as Social Media Manager with five years of marketing & social media experience including working for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
