Our PR, Digital and Team Highlights for July

That’s a wrap July! The weather might not have been all we hoped, but we kicked off another epic summer season with a host of spectacular live events and press launches. From bluedot’s out-of-this-world festival in Cheshire to Camp Bestival in Dorset, read on to find out what we got up to this month.

Intergalactic Weekend of Fun at bluedot

The Jodrell Bank Observatory welcomed thousands of science and music lovers for a weekend of cosmic arts and a stellar line-up of musical artists, including Roisin Murphy, Django Django, Pavement and Grace Jones. The team worked to secure on-site media attendance and post-event coverage. Broadcast interviews across the weekend included BBC and ITV and coverage highlights included BBC News, ITV News, The I, Manchester Evening News and The Manc.

Launching Moda Hove Central

The team helped create a remarkable event to celebrate Moda’s forthcoming multigenerational neighbourhood, Hove Central. Moda took over Rockwater Hove - a renowned seafront venue - to host a party for community members, press, influencers and stakeholders.

The evening was a celebration of the area, with entertainment curated by Brighton and Hove’s award-winning drag artist, compere and DJ, Alfie Ordinary. Woody Cook also delivered an electric DJ set and local artist David Pop! wowed with a live painting demonstration and image that will adorn the walls of the future development.

The new neighbourhood will consist of 824 state-of-the-art rental homes. A 360-degree tour of the new development was covered by The Argus.

Celebrating LOL Day with L.O.L. Surprise!

Flip LOL 180 degrees and you get 707, aka – 7th July. This date has become the go-to moment for fans to celebrate their love for L.O.L. Surprise! around the world. To celebrate the day and launch the new the new L.O.L. Surprise Bubble Surprise range we hosted a customer event at Smyths Croydon. The event saw more than 150 LOL fans experience ‘The Bubbliest Celebration Ever’, getting involved in a host of activities including LOL makeovers, product demos, photo opportunities and so much more plus, an exciting celebrity appearance from Adam Thomas and his daughter, Elsie.

Culinary Destinations with National Geographic Traveller Food Festival

This month saw the team at London’s Business Design Centre for the annual National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival. Running the media centre, the two-day event invited visitors to taste the world, with wine tutorials, international tastings and culinary masterclasses. The main stage welcomed a star-studded culinary lineup such as MasterChef’s John Torode, Anna Haugh, Andi Oliver and The Hebridean Baker Coinneach MacLeod.

With over 50 pieces of coverage secured and a reach of more than 86 million, highlights included Stylist, Delish, The Nudge, The Week, MSN and many more.

Camp Bestival Dorset Celebrates 15th Birthday

The UK’S favourite family festival returned to Lulworth Castle and this year is extra special with it being Camp Bestival’s 15th birthday. Festival goers revelled in a weekend full of iconic musical acts, including Grace Jones, Craig David, The Kooks, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ella Henderson and so much more.

The team were in the sunny castle grounds throughout the event running a very busy press office, running photo pits and facilitating live interviews, including a live feed into This Morning with Josie Gibson. Coverage highlights include BBC, Metro, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Daily Telegraph.
