Topping out the First Phase of Moda Living’s New Garden Square in Edgbaston, Birmingham

The event helped announce the major new urban community, part of an emerging UK-wide masterplan strategy for the developer operator

We worked alongside Moda Living and contractor Winvic to deliver the topping out ceremony of the first phase of Moda Living’s New Garden Square; a major new urban community with up to 1,600 homes in Birmingham.

We invited key stakeholders to the 13th floor of Block F2 at New Garden Square where speeches were delivered by Andrew Parker from Moda Living, Birmingham City Council members and Winvic.

During the speeches, the new 11-acre ‘Moda masterplan’ was announced which is set to deliver around £6m of public realm including a new park, along with the new homes, retail, F+B, leisure space and workspace.

The ‘New Garden Square’ masterplan further demonstrates Moda Living’s long-term commitment to Birmingham city. With one operational neighbourhood (487-home ‘Moda, The Mercian’, which is the Midlands’ tallest residential tower) and two under construction (the 400-home ‘New Garden Square’ Phase I and ‘Great Charles Street’, a 722-home build-to-rent community in the city’s Jewellery Quarter), Moda Living has so far committed more than £600m to developments in the city with a growing future pipeline, contributing significantly to Birmingham City Council’s Our Future City framework. Following the topping out ceremony, we transported guests to the nearby Moda, The Mercian for a special supper club event

The next day we sold in the news of Moda Living’s urban masterplan expansion at New Garden Square securing five pieces of coverage with a combined reach of over 13m. Highlights from the sell-in include standalone coverage secured across Insider Media, Business Live, The Business Desk, Birmingham Mail and Birmingham Post.
