Microdot at Alderley Park; A day of inspiration and curiosity for all the family

As part of the eagerly anticipated launch of Glasshouse at Alderley Park, Bruntwood SciTech welcomed over 2,000 guests to Microdot at Alderley Park in February, 2020.

The Brief

To launch and promote the opening of Glasshouse, Alderley Park’s new hub for tech companies and forward thinking, innovative businesses and host a family friendly day of activity in partnership with bluedot, the annual science and music festival held at Jodrell Bank whilst securing coverage in key regional titles.

Our Response

We welcomed over 2,000 guests to Microdot. A day of family friendly activities co-curated by the team behind the award-winning bluedot festival, the event was specifically designed for budding scientists and tech buffs alike. As well as inviting key media and influencers to the event, we also supported and booked activity for the day, including drone racing, craft sessions and lots of science themed games. Interactive shows with Science Made Simple were also hosted underneath GAIA - the huge Earth installation by artist Luke Jerram.

The Results

Coverage was secured in key regional online titles including Manchester’s Finest, VIVA Manchester, Creative Tourist as well as regional print coverage in Knutsford, Warrington and Sandbach Guardian. We also invited a number of science and family influencers to Microdot, who all supported with social coverage taking our total reach to 2,486,698 for the event.
